CSA

What is a CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is where farm members share in both the benefits and risk for food production. Farms run on slim profit margins with huge upfront costs every year long before crops are ready for market.  It really benefits a farm to help with early season income before crops are ready for sale and benefits the members by providing them the freshest possible produce with the lowest environmental impact.

During the harvest season members receive weekly or biweekly boxes of fresh seasonal produce from our farm. This is a wonderful way to support and strengthen local food systems, lower our personal impact on the environment, explore cooking focused on seasonal ingredients, and enjoy more nutritious food.

WHAT WE GROW

We grow everything from arugula through zucchini. We strive to give our farm members an excellent variety of produce in their boxes each week. We try to ensure they have 1-2 salad greens, 1-2 cooking greens such as kale, chard, bok choy; 1-2 root crops such as potatoes, carrots, onions; and 2-3 seasonal crops such as tomatoes, sweetcorn, squash, peppers, eggplant.
